Shirley A. Short, 73, of Gwynneville, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015. She was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Ora E. and Willa Beatrice (Carter) Smith. Shirley graduated from Morristown High School in 1960. She married James E. Short in 1960, and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2002.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Michael A. (Brenda) Short of Greenfield, Jeffery N. (Rachel) Short, of Indianapolis and Anthony M. (Amber) Short of Anderson; sister, Sally Ham of Morristown; foster son, Kevin Goble of Morristown; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Smith.
Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Gwynneville Christian Church in Gwynneville, with Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at the church. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
Services entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St.in Morristown.
