HANCOCK COUNTY — The deadline to pay property taxes is Tuesday.
Payments can be made at the Hancock County Treasurer’s Office at the Hancock County Courthouse Annex, Suite 205, 111 American Legion Place,Greenfield, online or by mail. They also can be paid at Star Bank in Greenfield, 230 E. New Road, or in Shirley, 310 Main St.
Office hours to pay taxes in person are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. There also is a drop box located at the front doors of the annex; payments can be dropped off there until midnight the day of the deadline.
Payments can be mailed to the treasurer’s office but must be postmarked by Nov. 10 or they will be considered late.
Property taxes also can be paid online at hancockcoingov.org. A convenience fee of $3.95 or 2.75 percent will be charged.
