Clodie F. (Hauk) Sleeth, 86, of New Palestine, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Golden Living Center – Brandywine. She was born on Aug. 4, 1929, in Indianapolis, as the daughter of John and Edith (Mull) Hauk. Clodie married George Sleeth in 1947.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family and cats.
Clodie is survived by her son, Pete (Judy) Sleeth of Greenfield; daughter, Audrey (Richard Zick) Sleeth of Wilkinson; five grandchildren, Brian Sleeth, Eric Sleeth, Heaven McClane, Charles Sleeth and Amber Sleeth and seven great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Hauk; foster parents, Charlie and Audrey Fritts; husband, George Sleeth and son, Dennis Sleeth.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary. Chaplain Richard Byrd will be officiating. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
