Joseph L. Andrews, 76, of Greenfield passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born Feb. 19, 1939, in Wheeling, W. Va., to the late George and Margaret (Holland) Andrews.
Joseph was a graduate of Cathedral High School and served in the Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Prior to retiring after a 36 year career, he was a layout operator for Western Electric & Lucent. In his retirement, Joseph enjoyed flower gardening, riding his bicycle and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, of almost 54 years, Betty (Cross) Andrews of Greenfield; children, Robert Andrews, Phillip Andrews and Melissa (Shane) Davis all of Greenfield; brothers, George Andrews of Beech Grove and Thad Andrews of Greenwood; grandchildren, Shawn, Christina, Kasey, Tatum, Ethan, Miley , Elijah and five great- grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ellen O’Brien.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 513 North Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield with Father Joseph Reidmann officiating. Burial will follow Mass at Park Cemetery, Greenfield with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
