Doris Janell Shirley
Doris Janell Shirley, 79, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 28, 2015, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born June 15, 1936, in Hancock Co., the daughter of the late Laudis Loren and Mellie (McKinley) Freeman.
Doris owned and operated Dor-ee Beauty Shop in Greenfield for 56 years before retiring in 2007. She was a member of Eastern Star Lodge #101 of Eden and the Greenfield Christian Church. Her love was spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Janette (Gene) Young of Wilkinson, Raette Redmon of Greenfield, Patty (Scott) Garrett of South Carolina; son, Raymond (Ann) Shirley of Fortville; brother, John (Arlene) Freeman of Morristown; sister, Joyce Lea Freeman of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Laudis Loren Freeman Jr.; sister, Barbara Ann Butsch and grandson, Bruce Wayne Rozzell.
Calling will be from 10 a.m. to Noon Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. A Graveside service will immediately follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield with Russ Jarvis officiating.
