Raymond P. Brizendine, 88 of Bedford, Ind., formally of Greenfield, passed away on Oct. 17, 2015, at Stonebridge Health Campus in Bedford. He was born on April 7, 1927, in Fortville, to the late Chester A. and Eba (Stohler) Brizendine.
Raymond was enlisted in the Army during WWII and married his loving wife Jane on July 4, 1957. He then later enjoyed a career at General Motors for 25 years. Raymond attended Trinity Park United Methodist Church.
Raymond is survived by his son, Mark A. (Vanessa) Brizendine of Greenfield; daughter, Marcie L. (Rick) Davis of Bedford; sister, Glendora Beyers of Greenfield; six grandchildren; six great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jane Brizendine; son, Steven R. Brizendine; two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W Main St. Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be on at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at the funeral home with Reverend Mike Manning officiating. Burial with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veteren’s Honor Guard will follow the service at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
