GREENFIELD — St. Paul’s Reformed Episcopal Church will play host to a Reformation Festival on Oct. 30 to commemorate the 498th anniversary of Reformation Day.

Harold Rawlings of Florence, Kentucky, will be the guest speaker, giving a presentation on the history of translation of the Bible into English. Rawlings is the author of “Trial by Fire: The Struggle to Get the Bible into English.” He is also an evangelist and former Baptist pastor.

There will also be a rare Bible display, featuring selections from Rawlings’ collection. The display will include an 800-year-old Latin Vulgate, an Erasmus Greek and Latin New Testament, a Geneva Bible and a 400-year-old first edition King James Bible, among others.

Bible viewing begins at 6 p.m., followed by Rawlings’ presentation at 7 p.m. Admission is free and includes refreshments.

St. Paul’s is at 20 W. South St., across the street from the Greenfield Fire Department headquarters.
