HANCOCK COUNTY — The faith community is in on fall fun, offering food, festivals and parking lot celebrations with car trunks full of candy for trick-or-treaters. These local churches have plans:
New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 S. County Road 500W: Trunk or Treat runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided. A prize will be awarded for the best decorated vehicle trunk. New this year are a s’mores station and a Halloween craft station. McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway: A Halloween party is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. It’s for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Check-in begins at 5:45 p.m.; pick-up is at 8 p.m. Parents also are welcome to stay. The party will feature a costume contest (nothing too scary, organizers request), pizza, treats, games, crafts and a bounce house.
