Christina Marie Kellermeier, 9, of Greenfield passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015. She was born May 5, 2006, in Indianapolis to Robert Kellermeier and Lori (Hammond) Gossett.

Christina was a sweet, witty and outgoing 3rd grader at J.B. Stephens Elementary School. Pink, purple, lots of glitter and a bigger than life personality is what everyone that knew her will remember most. A sign on her bedroom wall expressed to everyone that entered, “Pink is not a color, It’s an attitude!”

She is survived by her mother, Lori (Bill) Gossett of Greenfield; father, Robert (Jenni) Kellermeier of Indianapolis; sisters, Maggie (David) Lawhorn of Cincinnati, Jessica Gossett and Kelley Gossett both of Indianapolis; grandparents, Paula Hammond of Greenfield, Ralph (Julia) Strubbe of Greenfield, Jane (Pete) Jenkins of Columbus, Ind.; stepgrandmothers, K. Kellermeier of Beech Grove and Elizabeth Gossett of Greenfield.

She is preceded in death by grandfathers, Donn Hammond and Bob Kellermeier.

Christina loved art and considered herself an abstract artist. We thank her art teacher Mrs. Hall for sharing her love of art with Christina.

We would also like to thank Dr. McMullen and Dr. Shih for giving us four additional years with our Christina. Dr. McMullen once said, “You don’t meet Christina, you encounter her!” Lastly, a loving thank you to Season’s Hospice and Christina’s nurses, Crystal and Carrie for everything they did for her and our family.

Friends may call 2 – 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield. Services and burial will be private.

Memorial contributions in memory of Christina may be made to the Christina Kellermeier Fund, C/O Hancock County Community Foundation, 312 East Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140 or Riley Children’s Foundation, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
