Rita Elaine (Conway) Lahr
Rita Elaine (Conway) Lahr, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, Oct.10, 2015. She was born on Nov. 22, 1937, in Beech Grove, as the daughter of Flay and Elsie (Fisher) Conway Gott. Rita graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1955, and attended Butler and Indiana Central. She married Richard (Dick) Lahr on June 15, 1958.
She retired from FC Tucker in 2002 and enjoyed crafting, traveling and genealogy. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, PEO Intl., and Daughters of the American Revolution – Caroline Scott Harrison Chapter.
Rita is survived by her loving husband; daughters, Lisa Lahr and Susan (Douglas) Corey, of New Palestine; daughter, Elaine (Timothy) Hanselman, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; son, Bradley (Barbara) Lahr of Ann Arbor, Mich.; grandchildren, Zachary, Christopher and Joshua Hanselman, Kaitlin and Ryan Corey, and Claudia Lahr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Murray Gott.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 9031 E. 16th Street, Indianapolis. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
