GREENFIELD – The Hancock County Community Foundation recently awarded Dani’s Dreams Outdoor Education Center a $1,000 grant from HCCF’s Enrichment Fund to help support an internship program.

Dani’s Dreams Outdoor Education Center’s mission is to encourage and support teachers in use of creativity in the classroom, and to foster an interest in science and discovery with projects designed to develop an appreciation, responsibility and concern for the natural world.

The grant dollars awarded to Dani’s Dreams will be used to support an internship program that will enable the organization to explore more in-depth subjects of interest and relevance to students today as well as solidify community partnerships to strengthen Dani’s Dreams programs. Dani’s Dreams Outdoor Education Center was established in 2008 and is located at Zion Lutheran School in New Palestine.

The center is available to the public and offers hands-on science experiences for a variety of interests and generations.
