GREENFIELD — To celebrate the upcoming Riley Festival, the James Whitcomb Riley Boyhood Home and Museum will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The annual open house is the only time each year the public can tour the home for free.

Riley Festival queen Ashely Fritz and her court will be introduced, and light refreshments will be served.

The event starts at 2 p.m. at the gazebo in the Riley Gardens, located behind the Riley Boyhood Home and Museum, 250 W. Main St. The home will then be open for walk-through tours.

In case of rain, the opening event will be moved inside.
