Martha Bever, 77, of New Palestine, died Sept. 14, 2015. She was born on May 26, 1938, in Clay County, Ky., to Nelson Roberts and Laura (Gilbert) Roberts. She later met and married Alvin Bever Sr. in 1955, and they were happily married for 40 years before his passing in 1995.
After her education, Martha cherished her life as a homemaker, raising her family and especially loved her time with her grandchildren and watching them grow.
Surviving Martha are her two sons, Alvin (Deanna) Bever Jr. and Robert L. Bever; daughter, Darla “Sis” Waite; grandsons, Larry (Eva) Marr, Nick (Lindsay) Bever, Robby and Joey Bever, Nelson (Brittany) Bever; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Braxton, Allie, Zoey, Joslyn, Cash, Aiden and two great-great- grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Alvin Bever Sr., Martha was also preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Martha will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday Sept. 18, 2015, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel, 19 E. Main St. New Palestine. Funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, in the funeral home, with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery.
