Marjorie Laverne (Bramley) Towse, 97, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at her residence. She was born on April 26, 1918, in Carlinville, Ill., as the daughter of Leo and Verna (Still) Bramley.

Marjorie worked for Illinois Bell for 20 years before retiring in February 1988. She attended various Methodist churches and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Marjorie enjoyed embroidering, listening to music, ballroom dancing, traveling, camping with friends. She also loved gardening plants and flowers, especially roses which were her favorite.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Gary (Ann) Towse of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Laura (Mark) Deom of Lewisville, Bryan (Anjy) Towse of McCordsville, Jessica (Olie) Burggraf of Germany and Travis Towse of Indianapolis and three great- grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas, and Miranda.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Verna Bramley and brother, Hal Bramley.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, also at the mortuary. Pastor Michael Fausto will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
