Deborah Kaye (Call) Covert, 61, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Debbie was born Jan. 28, 1954, in Greencastle, to Bob and Violet (Fenwick) Call. She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1972.

She worked as a teacher’s aide at Roachdale Elementary School from 1996-1999. She was a homemaker, raising five children. Debbie married Doug Covert July 1, 1994, and he survives.

Survivors also include, her three sons, Eric (Fara) Daugherty, Jason (Jackie) Meziere, and Drew (Becky) Meziere; daughters, Brooke (Eric) Layton and Jenna (Ryan) Livingston; six grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Chloee, Heath, Tucker, and Paige, who were the lights of her life; special aunt and cousin, Berniece Snider and Brenda Kerns.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Vicki Walterman.

Visitation was held from 3 – 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
