Mary C. Bentley, 97, a lifelong resident of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis. She was born Aug. 5, 1918, in Greenfield, to the late Paul and Arlie (Tague) Bell.
She was a homemaker and worked along side of her husband working their farm for over 50 years. Mary was a member of O.E.S., Psi Iota, Greenfield Country Club, Daughters of the Revolutionary War, Tuesday Bridge Club, was an avid golfer, reader and loved traveling abroad.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Kay) Bentley, Jr. of Franklin; grandson, Brian Bentley of Greenfield and great- grandchildren, Cody Bentley of Fla. and Amber Bentley of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert L. Bentley, Sr.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 9, 2015, at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, with visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mary’s honor may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL. 33607.
