Karen A. (Bogue) Slinker, 69, of Indianapolis, died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015. She was born on Sept. 21, 1945, in Shelbyville, as the daughter of Donald M. and Nadine (Tinsley) Bogue.

Karen is survived by her son, Jason (Renee) Slinker of Indianapolis; daughter, Jennifer L. (Kevin) Sulzer of Louisville, Ky.; brother, Scott Bogue of Morristown; sisters, Darlene (Gary) Nebel of Gwynnville and Glenda (Gary) Manor of New Castle; brother-in-law, Max Byrnes of Morristown and grandson, Joshua Slinker of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald M. and Nadine Bogue and sister, Marcia Byrnes.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Little Blue River Friends Church, 122 S. 1000 W., Morristown, IN 46161. Gary Manor and Pastor Lawrence Byrnes will be officiating. Burial will follow at Little Blue River Friends Cemetery in Morristown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to Humane Society of Indianapolis, 7929 N. Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
