NEW PALESTINE — Southern Hancock School Community School Corp.’s third annual Run, Walk, Roll Against Bullying event begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 12 at New Palestine High School, 4485 S. Victory Drive.

Organizers of the event hope to educate and inspire others to prevent bullying in the school district and elsewhere in the community.

Registration is $5 for students and $10 for adults. Children younger than school age can participate for free.

Those registered by Sept. 4 will get a t-shirt.

Those doing the 4.5-mile walk will take a school bus to Doe Creek Middle school and walk, run or roll in wheelchairs back to the high school. All others will stay on campus.

Entertainment and refreshments, along with additional information about bullying prevention, will be available after the event.

T-shirts can be picked up at the high school on Sept. 11.

Volunteers wanting a t-shirt will need to register and pay for the event.
