Jack R. Miller, 85, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, at his home. He was born April 22, 1930 in Daviess County, Ind., to the late David and Wilma (McDaniel) Miller.

Jack was a graduate of Washington High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

Jack was a very active member of the Greenfield American Legion, Post #119 where he previously served as Commander, was a proud member of the Greenfield Veteran’s Honor Guard and loved flag education. He also enjoyed a 34 year career with Eli Lilly & Company, Greenfield.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue (Bacon) Miller of Greenfield; daughter, Kathy (Mark) Jones of Fishers; sons, Brent Miller of Plainfield and Gregg Miller of Greenfield; sisters, Joyce Wildman of Texas, Sandra Wonder of Ohio, Sherry Hoss of Ind., Janet Fritschle of Fla.; five grandchildren, Nathan (Miranda) Norris, Alyssa (Corey) James, Kory Miller, Sarah Miller, Hannah Miller and two great- grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cyndi Norris and sister, Phyllis Reuss.

Friends may call from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.1, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial with military rites provided by the Greenfield Veteran’s Honor Guard will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
