Captain Heather Waterman Huneycutt, DVM, 26, of Bunnlevel, N.C., formerly of Shelbyville, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015.
Services will be announced by Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Obituary policy
The Daily Reporter offers both free death notices and paid custom obituaries for Hancock County and surrounding area residents, former residents and close relatives of area residents.
A free death notice contains basic information, including details about visitation and services, military, memorial contributions, survivors and relatives preceding them in death.
Families who want to include more information or include a photograph can purchase a custom obituary. Additional information may include memberships, employment, education and additional survivors.
Cost for custom obituaries is $90 for up to 250 words and 34 cents for each additional word. A photo may be included for a $10 charge. Remembrance symbols, such as an American flag or a cross, are also available for a charge of $10.
The Daily Reporter prefers to take obituary information from funeral homes but also will accept information from families as long as the information can be verified with a funeral home before publication.
Payment is required before publication for custom obituaries purchased by individuals.
The deadline for submitting obituaries to the Daily Reporter is 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
