William George Rothkopf, 86, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1929, in Indianapolis, the son of William John and Donna Lucille (Winkinhoffer) Rothkopf. He married his wife of 63 years, Marilyn Ann Bruns, on Oct. 27, 1951, and she survives.

William graduated from High School in 1947 and attended Jordan College of Music for one year.

He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Greenfield. William retired from Metropolitan School District of Warren Township School and Herf Jones.

He was a former member of Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, Maennerchor, Lions Club, Hancock Genealogy Society, Lutheran Laymans League and a volunteer at Hancock Regional Hospital.

Other survivors include his niece, Melissa (Trent) Miller of Morristown; nephew, Pete (Jennifer) Gambrel of Charlottesville; great-nieces, Brittany and Abbigail Miller; great-great-niece, Ellie Sue Munden.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 W. McKenzie Road in Greenfield. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the church, with Rev. Dan O’Connor officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery.
