Ronald E. Ailes, 73, of Knightstown, was called home to be with the Lord, on Aug. 24, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born April 2, 1942, in Connersville, as the son of the late Robert o. and Jessie I. (Mauller) Ailes.
Ron was a longtime member of Orange Lodge #234 and Fairview Christian Church. He was a retired truck driver and crop services manager. In his retirement, he enjoyed antique tractor pulls and almost anything related to antique farm machinery. He was also an avid gardener who took great satisfaction in sharing his harvest with those less fortunate.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jane A. (Cameron) Ailes, as well as, his four children, Rodney (Pam) Ailes, Rebecca Simmonds, Reid (Beth) Daniel Ailes all of Noblesville and Russell Mohr of Greenfield; brother, Richard (Marilyn) Ailes of Connersville; sister, Rita Lindsley of Dayton, Oh.; eight grandchildren and two great -grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was proceeded in passing by his brothers, Robert Ailes of Laurel and Randall Ailes of Connersville, as well as, grandson Matthew Ailes of Noblesville.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Mosters Mortuary in Rushville with a Masonic service at 7:30pm. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015, with the burial following at Fairview Cemetary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ron’s honor to Fairview Christian Church.
