GREENFIELD — Local author Kurt Vetters will be selling and signing copies of his recently published young adult novel, “Confederate Winter,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Red Banana, 14 N. State St., Greenfield.
A former U.S. cavalry officer and Civil War re-enactor, Vetters tells the story of his ancestor, William Sweeney, and his experiences in being conscripted into the Confederate Army in 1864.
