Sui Zhen (Huang) Wu, 85, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospice. She was born on March 14, 1930, in Foshan, China, as the daughter of Zhou and Hui Qing (Zhong) Huang. She received her Bachelor’s degree from a university in China. Sui married Xiong Jun Wu.
She worked for many years as a high school math teacher in China, before moving to the United States in 1985. In the past, Sui enjoyed ballroom dancing. She loved collecting family pictures and traveling. She also practiced tai chi for 30 years.
Sui is survived by her children, Huan-Ping “Ping” (Kiwah) Wu of Granger, Huan Zhang “John” (SuXing) Wu of Greenfield and Kay (Rui) Wu of Greenfield and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zhou and Hui Qing (Zhong) Huang and husband, Xiong Jun Wu.
A viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be at Noon on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to Hancock Regional Hospital Foundation, Attn: Hospice, 801 N State St, Greenfield, IN 46140 or Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation – Greenfield, 200 Green Meadows Drive, Greenfield, IN 46140.
