Local student awarded $1,000 scholarship

HANCOCK COUNTY — The National Future Farmers of America Organization recently awarded a $1,000 Built Ford Tough scholarship to Alexander Boulanger, a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School.

The scholarship was sponsored by Inskeep Ford, and Boulanger plans to use the funds to pursue a degree at Purdue University. 

The scholarship was one of 2,156 awarded through the FFA Organization’s scholarship program this year. Currently 127 sponsors contribute more than $2.7 million to support scholarships for students.
