• Who remembers the concerts at the Indiana Beach Ballroom? The Who, Alice Cooper, The Turtles, Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring the unknown Janis Joplin, Sonny and Cher, The Beach Boys, Louis Armstrong, Bill Haley and the Comets, Brenda Lee, Simon and Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers and many, many others.

• Who doesn’t love the beach?

• I sure wish Greenfield had a splash pad for my grandkids so I wouldn’t have to drive to another town and spend money there instead.

• I heart the farmers market!

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

Cloth diapers are awesome!

• I have lived in Greenfield for around 20 years. Things have changed so much, but there is no other place I would rather be. Riley Days, concerts on the square, the shops, farmers market and Riley Park are all places I hold in my heart.

• I’ve been calling the city to complain about a yard that is not being mowed once every three to four weeks, and nothing has been done.

• The best thing about Greenfield is Lincoln Square Pancake House. It’s my home away from home, and I love my Sunday breakfasts watching all the people. And they have grits. They. Have. Grits. That is all.

• The Hancock County Fair is the best part of Hancock County. Other counties just don’t capture the same spirit.
