Ralph E. Stanley, 81, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Harrison Terrace, Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 18, 1934, in Greenfield, to the late Horace “Joe” and Irene (Dunham) Stanley. Ralph married Janice (Cole) Stanley on Dec. 26, 1954, in Greenfield. He was a graduate of Greenfield High School.

Ralph served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He    retired from the Air Force in 1974 and worked 15 years at Naval Avionics, until he retired and was the owner of Reliable Electricity.

He was a member of the Greenfield Church of God and the American Legion. Ralph loved to bowl, fish, golf, camp, ride motorcycles, build and fly radio controlled airplanes.

He is survived by his wife, Janice (Cole) Stanley of Greenfield; daughter, Dana Bane of Greenfield; daughter-in-law, Pam Stanley of Greenfield; brothers, Richard (Pam) Stanley of Greenfield, Robert (Karen) Stanley of Greenwood; sister, Joan King of New Palestine; grandchildren, Miya, Brian, Shannon, Eddie and four great- grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Jeffery Stanley and brother, Donald Stanley.

Friends may call from 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ira Scott officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Park Cemetery.
