Master Gardener to discuss native plants

HANCOCK COUNTY — The public is invited to attend the Hancock County Master Gardeners monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hancock County Extension Office, 802 N. Apple St., Greenfield.

The featured speaker is David Mow, who will discuss the advantages of using native plants in landscapes.

Mow is a Master Gardener and a member of the Indiana Native Plant and Wildflower Society. He trained as an instructor in the U.S. Navy, teaching in the classroom for three years. He has completed the Indiana Master Naturalist training program and received training as an interpretive naturalist from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. He has been photographing and identifying wildflowers native to central Indiana for more than 25 years.

A business meeting of the Hancock County Master Gardeners will follow at 7:40 p.m.
