Earl Charles McClammer, 82, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice. He was born on Feb. 27, 1933, in Greenfield, as the son of Verlin and Dorothy (Whitaker) McClammer.
Earl served in the Navy.
He was a supervisor at General Motors in Anderson for 32 years. Earl enjoyed playing video games, fishing, golfing, his firearms and eagerly competing when he watched Wheel of Fortune.
Earl is survived by his two daughters, Carmen Merlet of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Cyndi Nehls of Henderson, Tenn; sisters, Leta, Janet, and Clare Jo; four grandchildren, Jason Wilson, Corissa McClammer, Penelope Merlet and Cassandra McClammer and one great-grandchild, Trinity Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlin and Dorothy McClammer; son, Brent Douglas McClammer; grandson, Alan Wilson; brother, Steve McClammer and sister, Nyla Pope.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service, which will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Pastor Randall Parker will be officiating.
