NEW PALESTINE — A New Palestine man was arrested Friday afternoon after a young girl told police he had touched her inappropriately.
Robert Collins, 38, of New Palestine, has been charged with child molestation, a Level 4 felony, and sexual battery, a Level 6 felony.
During his interview with police, Collins said he has “done some bad things, but he’s not violent and not a sicko,” court records state.
Collins refused to speak with Department of Child Services officials during the investigation, court documents state.
Collins faces six months to 12 years in prison and $10,000 in fines if convicted.
