■ Hancock County’s 4-H program is amazing, and the 4-H Fair is a representation of all the hard work the children do all year round.

■ It would be great if an eagle cam could be installed at the nest next year. We could get an inside view from our computers without disturbing them and the neighborhood. We’ve been watching a nest in Pennsylvania, and it was so much fun.

■ I want to send a shout out to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department as well as the Greenfield Police Department. Keep up the great work, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks for keeping us safe.

■ Do you or some one you know have lupus? Greenfield has our own Lupus Support Group for “Lupies” like myself and their friends and family. Group meets the first Tuesday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hancock Regional Hospital in the lower level, Classroom 2. Hope to see some new faces.

■ I love Greenfield. It has a small-town feel, but the businesses are growing.

■ There’s more than corn in Indiana.

■ Happy that Wooden Bear Brewery is now open Wednesday.

■ I would love to see Greenfield get more stores such as a Target or Kohls instead of more fast-food restaurants.

■ Greenfield Area Soccer Club Junior Board would like to send a very public thank you to McCleerey’s Sporting Goods for the amazing donation to the replay program. There are so very many of our community’s families that will benefit from this program, headed up by local GASC youth soccer players. Steve McCleerey’s generosity is humbling.

■ The city of Greenfield should not be using $500,000 of our tax money to build a road for private sports groups at the junior high.
