George D. Maple, 92, died Monday, July 6, 2015. George was born in Rushville, on Jan. 28, 1923, to the late Orville and Nellie (Brown) Maple.
George is survived by his sons, George “Tom” Thomas (Sandy Fuller) Maple of Rushville and Greg (Chelly) Maple of Morristown; daughter, Linda (Whitmer) Patterson of Santa Rosa, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 14 great -great -grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Freda, George was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Dale, James and Charles.
Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville. Burial will be in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery. Services will be held at 1 p.m. The Rush County Honor Guard will perform military rites at the mortuary. Pastor Sam Davenport will preside.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rush County Honor Guard or Main Street Christian Church.
