Alma Lawrine (Davis) Cohron, 87, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Westminster Village North. She was born on May 28, 1928, in Bowling Green, Ky., as the daughter of Grover and Hattie (Donahoe) Davis. Alma married Leonard Cohron on March 25, 1950, in Tenn.

She worked for Western Electric for 28 years before retiring in 1985. Alma enjoyed bowling, camping, and fishing. She was a champion horseshoe pitcher and was a part of the 600 club.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Pam L. (Doug) Axsom of Greenfield; son, David L. (Amy) Cohron of Indianapolis; sister, Mildred (Harold) Roberson of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Justin Axsom, Jenna Axsom, and Leon Cohron; many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Darrel & Shirley Cohron of Indianapolis and Joan Cohron.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Cohron; parents, Grover and Hattie Davis; sisters, Mary Vanderpool and Vivian Davis; and brother-in-law, Harrel Cohron.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the mortuary. Pastor Matt Wickham will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
