GREENFIELD — Two Indianapolis women were arrested after someone attempted to use counterfeit money at a local store.
Keinesha Morris, 28, and Shamika Hayworth, 29, were arrested Wednesday by Greenfield Police Department officers after eight counterfeit $50 bills were used at the Greenfield Walmart this week.
Police began monitoring the women in late May after seven counterfeit $50 bills were used at the store, police said.
Both women were being held Friday in the Hancock County Jail. They face two Level 6 felony charges of forgery and two class A misdemeanor theft charges.
