The Hancock County Children’s Choir performs at noon and 1 p.m. Saturday at Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road in Fishers. The annual Taste of Indy blends the city restaurant experience with local live music, as well as events and activities for the entire family. Paynetown State Recreation Area on Monroe Lake in Bloomington will host “Reading the Trail” at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9. The two-hour workshop is limited to 10 people ages 14 and up. A $5 registration is required by Tuesday at bit.ly/readingtrail2015. Monroe Lake interpretive naturalist Scott Klein will lead the workshop, which covers basic track identification, track-way interpretation and more. Paynetown SRA is located at 4850 S. Extreme boat racing returns to Madison this weekend at the Madison Regatta, one of the largest hydroplane racing events in the United States on the H1 Unlimited Racing Series.
