Jimmy E. Woods, Sr., 71, of Greenfield, passed away June 30, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospice in Greenfield. He was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Williamsburg, Ky., to the late Rueben Huddleston and Susie Woods.
He was an ASE certified master mechanic with several automotive dealerships during his life and served in the Air Force for a short period.
Jimmy attended Bethel Baptist Church, Greenfield, enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and loved tractors.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Mallie (Sexton) Woods of Greenfield, whom he married on June 13, 1964; son, Jimmy E. Woods, Jr. of Indianapolis; daughter, Teresa Woods of Indianapolis; brothers, Wayne Huddleston of Corbin, Ky., Donnie Huddleston of Williamsburg, Ky.; sisters, Narva Lee Bryant of Williamsburg, Ky., Shirley (John) Morgan of Corbin, Ky., Sharon Jones of Cincinnati, Ohio, Carolyn Mahan of Indianapolis, Margaret Campbell of Summerset, Ky., and son-in-law, Greg Willis of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; brothers, Bob Woods and Samuel Huddleston; sisters, Margie Sexton and Betty Jack.
Friends may call Sunday, July 5, 2015, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 6, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield with military honors to be presented by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
