NEW PALESTINE — Seventh- and eight-grade students at Zion Lutheran School recently boarded a bus for their annual class trip and visited Chicago and Wisconsin.
The first stop on the busy schedule was a tour of Concordia University Wisconsin, a Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod liberal arts college in suburban Milwaukee. The tour included a scavenger hunt and lunch.
The next stop was Discovery World, an interactive technology and innovation museum in Milwaukee, where the students were able to lie on a bed of nails, touch stingrays and engage in virtual reality trips through the galaxy.
Their Wisconsin experience also included a visit to the Mars Cheese Castle. The final stop was in Illinois, where the group stopped off at Medieval Times to see a live jousting tournament.
Day two of the trip started with the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
The group was then able to take in a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. The group also visited the Skydeck at Willis Tower.
