John Robert Zemlick, 67, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at his home. He was born Oct. 4, 1947, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Robert and Ruth (Matthews) Zemlick.

John graduated from Greenfield High School in 1965, he served in the Army during the Vietnam War, retired from Keihn of Greenfield in 2006 after 20 years of employment, was a member of the Greenfield Conservation Club and the Circle City Knife Collectors. He was an avid Colts fan, golfer and fisher that loved spending time with his family, shooting at gun ranges, and tooling leather & jewelry.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Adkins) Zemlick, whom he married on November 27, 1992; sons, John Robert, II (Amantha) Zemlick, Nicholas Adam Zemlick, Christopher Michael Zemlick; mother-in-law, Wilma “Wilbur” Woodruff and four grandchildren, Garret Shores, Gracie Shores, Jordan Cook and Carolina Zemlick all of Greenfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marsha Shaw.

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the funeral home with military honors to follow provided by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard. Private burial will be held at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in John’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66676.
