The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

May 12

Pizza Hut

Location: 5971 U.S. 52 West, New Palestine

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C — dish machine is not dispensing sanitizer, corrected.

May 14

Just Add Water Gardens — Farmers Market

Location: 413 Pleasant View Blvd., Greenwood

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C — must wash hands before putting on food-handling gloves, corrected.

May 18

Lincoln Square Pancake House

Location: 901 E. Broadway St., Fortville

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C — reach-in cooler at 51 degrees, too warm, needs to hold food at 41 degrees or below.

May 19

Kroger

Location: 1571 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: NC — need to have food thermometer in fish-cooking area, corrected.

Hancock County Food Pantry

Location: 714½ State Road 9 South, Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.
