Amy J. (Shambaugh) Wright, 48, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on Jan. 28, 1967, in Beech Grove, as the daughter of Steve and Sharon (Bodkin) Shambaugh.
She graduated from Greenfield Central High School in 1985. Amy earned an associate’s degree from Lockyear College in 1988. Amy married Don L. Wright on June 25, 2010, in Greenfield.
She worked for Hancock County as a deputy recorder, State Attorney General’s Office in Indianapolis, for many years, and Methodist Hospital as an office manager for Dr. Eugene Lammers. Amy was a member of Brandywine Community Church and was a former Sunday School Teacher. She loved her family dearly.
Amy is survived by her husband, Don Wright of Greenfield; parents, Steve and Sharon (Bodkin) Shambaugh of Greenfield; children, Morgan Fowler and Skylier Fowler both of Beech Grove; godson, Jed Spiker of Greenfield; siblings, Troy (Cori) Shambaugh and Susan Shambaugh both of Greenfield; several aunts and uncles, and special niece, nephew, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Max and Esther Bodkin, and Paul and Eunice Shambaugh.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at the mortuary. Pastor Mark Wright will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
