NEW PALESTINE — Air Force Airman 1st Class Katie N. Wineman graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.
Wineman, a 2010 New Palestine High School graduate, completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Wineman earned distinction as an honor graduate.
Wineman is the daughter of Larry Finch of New Palestine and Laura Finch of Indianapolis.
Wineman earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from Trine University in Angola.
