■ I wish everyone would stop nitpicking everything to death. It just does not matter. Think positive!

■ To the man in the Greenfield Fire Department jacket at Kroger who gave my kids quarters when he overheard that I had none — a huge thank-you from two 6- and 7-year-old kids and a Mom who won’t forget your kind actions. You’re a good man, not a doubt here. Hats off to you!

■ I went to a rehearsal to be a volunteer for ”The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” musical at Buck Creek Playhouse, and what I saw was funny and high energy, and the vocal talent is amazing. Everyone should go.

■ Great news about the pig wrestling being canceled. Given the pressure around the state right now, it’s not entirely surprising, but still a little because there hasn’t really been a focus on Hancock yet. This news made my day.

I recently tried that newish place, The Mug, and thought it was amazing. Everyone should go support local business and try it out. The french fries rocked my world.

■ Having volunteered at the Hancock County Humane Society, it is sad the number of nice kitties that are in need of a good home. I am sure that the same is true at Animal Management for cats and dogs. This time of year, many new kittens come in. Kittens are more likely to be adopted, but there are some sweet adoptable adults in need of homes. There are such sweet, loving pets at each facility that need a home. Please have pets spayed or neutered and adopt a pet.
