HANCOCK COUNTY — Mt. Comfort Elementary recently raised nearly $5,000 at its annual Riley Walk-a-thon, sponsored by the parent-teacher organization.
Half of the funds raised will go to Riley Hospital for Children, and half will support hiring a reading interventionist.
The reading interventionist position will focus on helping at-risk students in all elementary grades.
