HENRY COUNTY — A 7-year-old Shirley boy was injured Saturday evening when the four-wheeler he and his father were riding overturned, police said.
The crash occurred along U.S. 40, east of Knightstown, just before 8 p.m., Henry County Sheriff Richard McCorkle said.
The father, 27, was driving the all-terrain vehicle when it went into a ditch and flipped, McCorkle said. Neither was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The father walked away from the crash with minor scrapes and bruises, McCorkle said.
The boy was airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children with cuts to his head and a broken arm. He underwent surgery to correct the break but is in stable condition.
