Betty Jean Elizabeth Jeffries, 81, of Morristown, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015. She was born April 12, 1934, in Michigan, the daughter of Willie and Vera (Osborne) Mize.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Pearl Smith of Noblesville, Vergie Huseman of Lady Lakes, Fla. and Joanne McCrackin of Jonesboro, Ark.; brothers, Bill (Arlene) Mize of Charlottesville and Raymond Mize of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews, including Mary Medlin and Diann Bice, who lived with her.
She preceded in death by her husband, of 57 years, Jack Jeffries; parents and a sister, Juanita Medlin.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at the funeral home, with Pastor Ira Scott officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
