Board approves purchasing uniforms for police squad

GREENFIELD — This week, the Greenfield Board of Works and Public Safety gave the Hancock County Joint Tactical Team the green light to order new uniforms.

The team will order 17 uniforms at a cost of about $2,100 for officers serving on the team.

Greenfield Police Department Maj. Derek Towle, who serves as commander of the team, told the board the current uniforms need to be replaced because of wear and tear over the years.
