Hazel G. Oakes Sebastian, 92, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 at her residence. She was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Pike County, Ind., the daughter of the late Fred and Bessie (Wampler) Nolan.
Hazel was a nurse’s aide at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield for 10 years. She retired in 1985 from Western Electric in Indianapolis after 22 years of service, was a member of Northside Christian Church in Greenfield and loved gardening and sewing.
Survivors include her son, David (Donna) Oakes of Greenfield; daughters, Diana (Jack) Branam of Bloomington, Deana Peters of Greenfield, 11 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren; 10 great- great- grandchildren and a brother, Ollie Nolan of Clinton, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Sebastian; two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 4 -7 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Wilkinson Church of Christ in Wilkinson with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
