Donald Floyd York, 14, of Greenfield, went to be with the angels Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at his residence. He was born Aug. 11, 2000, in Greenfield, the son of Mark Jennings York and Donna Elaine (Clements) York.
Donald had attended Greenfield Jr. High School and had been home schooled the past three years. He was involved in 4-H, where he had shown chickens and pigs. He participated in soccer, baseball, horseback riding, Special Olympic bowling, Destiny Color Guard of Greenfield, wrestling and was a Shriner’s Child. He attended Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield. Donald loved music and strolling walks outside.
The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice and special homecare nurses for all the wonderful help and support throughout his illness.
He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Mark York of Carthage; mother, Donna York of Greenfield; brother, Rian York of Greenfield; half brother, Thomas York of Indianapolis; grandmother, Patricia Sommer of Carmel; grandparents, Bill and Reba Clements of Carthage; several aunts and uncles including godfather, Bobby Clements and godmother, Diana Clements; special uncle for whom he was named, Donald Clements and special aunt, Denise Burke and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and a brother.
Friends may call from Noon – 2 p.m. prior to the service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Park Chapel Christian Church in Greenfield with Pastors Dave Woods and Danny Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.
