Mary Rose (Jackson) Pope, 101, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Springhurst Health Campus, Greenfield. Mary was born April 1, 1914, in Greenfield, to the late Doc and Lula Mae (Wood) Jackson.

She was a graduate of Maxwell, Indiana High School. She married Thomas H. Pope on Oct. 21, 1934, in Morristown. She was a farmer and a homemaker. She also worked at Delco Remy, Eli Lilly and McCullers Meat Market.

Mary enjoyed cooking, baking pies from scratch, horseback riding and camping with her husband. She was active in the Home Circle Club and Shelby County Western Riders.

She is survived by son, Richard (Sheila) Jackson of Indianapolis; daughter, Vivian (Ted) Jackson- Harmon of Morristown; brother, Dick (Marlene) Jackson of Concord, NC; four grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Thomas Pope; brothers, James Jackson, Robert (Bob) Jackson, Charles (Pete) Jackson and sister, Lena Mae (Babe) Cook.

Friends may call 5 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the funeral home with burial following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
