One of the variety of activities at the Broad Ripple Art Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday is the opportunity to add your artwork to an IndyGo bus. Between 12 and 3 p.m. each day, professional graffiti artists will give attendees to the festival step-by-step directions on how to spray paint sections of the bus. Run through historic Metamora during the fifth annual Towpath 10K Dash and 5K Fun Run/Walk starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Whitewater Canal State Historic Site. The 10K course begins in the pre-Civil War village of Metamora and winds past the old grist mill, covered bridge-style aqueduct, and 19th-century shops and homes. The cost to register is $25. Join the Circle D Rangers as they protect the Overland Limited railroad on Saturday from bandits and robber-barons while steaming through the countryside from Connersville to Metamora. You’ve probably heard of “Typhoid Mary,” but most are unfamiliar with Mary Mallon, the cook behind the name. The Phoenix Theatre presents the premiere of “Typhoid Mary,” weekends through May 24. Mary, portrayed as a feisty, yet deeply religious Irish-immigrant, meets a host of peculiar people, in the retelling of the discovery of Mary’s peculiar disease and her forced quarantine.
